We enjoyed our stay at Kas Mai so much ! Everything was right: from the warm and hospitable reception of Nathalie, the delightful house where the Bonairean breeze blows coolly through the shutters, the sweet neighbor cat who regularly visited us, the lovely garden with a beautiful view, the hammock where we regularly read a book and porch where we could enjoy a beautiful sunrise during breakfast every morning. Near the beach, the restaurants and Kralendijk and yet completely quiet and surrounded by nature. The only drawback was that we only booked a week 🙂

It was our first visit to Bonaire and we loved it! The house is lovely and in great condition. Kas Mai is located at a tranquil and endearing place. Nevertheless, the city, the beach and national park are very close. The house is well equipped and everything is very well maintained, be it in the kitchen, towels or sheets, etc. The reception by Nathalie is very cordial and she is always approachable and helpful. Mark and Margreet provided us with many tips and information in preparation of our vacation. We found a great address to buy fresh fish and cooked a lot ourselves, but there was also delicious food when dining out. It was a wonderful stay in Kas Mai !

We look back on two wonderful weeks in your beautiful house on Bonaire. The warm welcome with the fridge filled with the first necessities was very pleasant. Everything we could think of was provided. We appreciated the ample supply of towels, kitchen supplies and even toys for our son. It was a very relaxing holiday for us. We will definitely recommend you to our friends / acquaintances. I will miss the outdoor shower after a day in the sea the most, just like the mornings in the hammock.

After our first stay in Kas Mai in 2016, I returned alone to Bonaire in February 2017. What a pleasure to explore the new outdoor shower! Kas Mai is a very romantic cottage and the area is very relaxed and safe. The garden with the shower cools you down after a hot day at the beach. With the help of Nathalie it was very easy to find my way around. Thank you and I will definitely be back.

We have been very fortunate to reside at Kas Mai last year. After this experience we wouldn’t want stay anywhere else on Bonaire. The house is an oasis of calm and even more beautiful and spacious than the pictures! My favorite spot was the porch and the kitchen which is fully equipped. The view of the Mondi full of iguanas, birds and lizards every day was brilliant. The owners are very pleasant and helpful. I would really recommend Kas Mai to anyone. Kas Mai met all our expectations. This was partly because we hadn’t been there, we had only our experience of two other places were we stayed before on the island. We fell a bit in love with Kas Mai; because of the wonderful location but especially because of the tastefully designed home, which has a warm, relaxed style. In terms of location you feel like your in the ‘outback’ which brings a great sense of freedom. While you can drive (glad we could rent the car with the cottage) to the beach or city very quickly. Communications and arrangements regarding home and car went easy. Exuded confidence. We love to come back in Kas Mai !!

Kas Mai is centrally located in Bonaire to travel so everything is good. In half an hour you’re both in Washington Slagbaai National Park (north) or at Lac Bay in the south. Kralendijk with supermarket and shops is just 5 minutes drive away as the West Coast. We found it to be ideal. Washington Slagbaai is highly recommended anyway (need a 4wheeldrive). Kas Mai exceeded our expectations. In real life just as nice, clean and attractively as in the pictures. And very complete: dishwasher, cold water tap from the fridge, fast Wi-Fi, good pans and knives (unique!), Big pile of towels, air conditioning in the bedroom, a good bbq, lovely big bed, some kitchen stuff that everybody always needs, not to mention the hammock and a beautiful starry sky! Located in a quiet hamlet with plenty of privacy.

All this combined with the hospitality and the tips of Walter and Femke make this home truly a must. Very suitable for two adults, possibly with a child of primary school age. Be careful with very small children because of the stairs and high porch.

My husband (a diver) has visited Bonaire many times, and he wanted to share his favorite island with me (a non-diver). But we wanted to experience this trip as locals, not tourists. We picked this villa for its rustic European charm and for its neighborhood-ish location. It did not disappoint. First, this is a VERY friendly neighborhood. Everyone said Hi and they were very helpful when we needed directions or tips. And since this villa is removed from the city, the stars are wonderfully vibrant at night. We snuggled in the hammock a couple of times and just enjoyed them.

What a sweet place Kas Mai is! Kas Mai (mommy’s house) is a very comfortable, stylish and above all clean place to stay. Ideally located in the center of Bonaire, in a very safe and green area, yet never far away from any beach or any other place of interest. This cute house offers all the amenities you need, even a relaxing hammock. The ever present wind blows a cooling breeze every hour of the day, so we did not the airco at all. Femke and Walter are very friendly and hospitable people, who picked us up at the airport. This place requires a car and Femke and Walter will be happy to help you out. We love to come back someday and we wholeheartedly recommend Kas Mai!

Friendly owners and only a 5 minute drive to down town Kralendijk! It’s affordable, and very comfortable! Definitely recommend it to anyone with a great style yet low budget.

Our holiday was superb. We had a lovely stay in this wonderfull holiday home. Femke went out of her way so we could have a perfect stay. We fell in love with Bonaire and can’t see why anyone wouldn’t while staying in this place.
